We are seeking a skilled Dental Specialist to join our team. As a Dental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient coding and billing processes within our dental practice. Your expertise in medical coding and knowledge of dental procedures will contribute to the overall success of our practice.

Duties:
- Review dental records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate medical codes
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Collaborate with dental providers and staff to clarify documentation and obtain necessary information for coding purposes
- Conduct regular audits to identify coding errors or discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Stay updated on industry changes, trends, and best practices related to dental coding and billing
- Assist with medical billing processes, including claims submission and follow-up
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients
- Provide training and guidance to dental staff on proper coding procedures

Skills:
- Proficient in medical and dental terminology, dental procedures, and coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Strong knowledge of medical office operations, including medical records management and medical billing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in assigning codes
- Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions regarding coding assignments
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with dental providers, staff, and insurance companies
